With more than twenty years working in the commercial printing industry, I developed a love of the versatile qualities and uses of paper.

Paper is the most amazing material. It is both fragile and durable. It can be cut, folded, pressed, and glued. As a testament to it’s durability, there are still books in existence that are hundreds of years old.

Bookbinding is a natural outlet for my skills—a perfect marriage of creativity and precision handwork. Using traditional techniques that start with paper, thread, and glue, I add materials such as imported book cloth, vintage wallpaper, wood veneer, leather, and hardware. I make traditional sewn hardcover books, pamphlets, concertina books, and portfolios.

It gives me joy to create something that is functional and beautiful. I hope it gives you joy to add your story to the book.
